  • Liquor & Gaming NSW Response to Hotel Noise Levels
    • An investigation was undertaken by the L&GNSW Sound Inspectorate, which included a thorough review of the Hotel’s compliance history and extensive on-site engagement with the Hotel’s management on two separate occasions. L&GNSW also conducted covert inspections of the Hotel and also consulted with NSW Police regarding concerns. More Information

  • Community Consulting Bodies Boundary Map Now Complete
    • SCC has recently completed the CCB boundary mapping process.Attached is a copy of our CCB boundary which will also be uploaded toCouncil’s CCB website soon. View Map
  • Concerns over Tree Roots and Safer Footpaths
    • There are a notable number of trees on council property with roots running at and above ground level, creating a trip hazard on the footpath. Some others are growing under concrete and or brick fences, approaching driveways and main residences. This may result in very expensive damage to repair, caused by trees that are not the owners property. More Information
  • Council seeks Aboriginal creative for artwork
    • Council is looking for a First Nations artist to create two unique artworks to be incorporated into corporate uniform and operational vehicle decal designs.The initiative signals Council’s commitment towards reconciliation and celebrates Indigenous culture in the region. More Information
  • Council recognised at engineering awards
    • Shoalhaven City Council has been recognised for two outstanding achievements in public works at the prestigious IPWEA Engineering Excellence Awards this month. Mayor Patricia White said she was thrilled to see the landslip rehabilitation project win the Judges’ Excellence Award in Disaster Recovery, in addition to a Highly Commended Award for the Huskisson Mangrove Boardwalk design and construction. More Information
  • Council’s Aboriginal Advisory Committee
    • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents who are passionate about advocating for programs, policies and initiatives for their communities in the Shoalhaven are encouraged to submit an application to join Council’s Aboriginal Advisory Committee. Mayor Patricia White said the committee will provide cultural advice to Council on its strategies and plans. More Information
  • Council crews progress highway mowing in Nowra
    • Grass verges along the Princes Highway in Nowra are being cut in a multi-day blitz by Shoalhaven Council mowing crews. An initiative to publish the mowing schedule for parks and reserves across the Shoalhaven has begun and can now be found on Council’s website. More Information
  • Shoalhaven Affordable Housing Strategy
    • Community members across the city are invited to join a new taskforce that will help Council implement its Affordable Housing Strategy.Expressions of Interest are now being sought for potential members that can help raise awareness, educate and advocate for much needed affordable housing in the Shoalhaven. More Information
