Council’s public survey closed on 17 April 2026 and we are presently awaiting their update. In the interim we can only refer you to their guideline document issued to other active groups in each of the townships and villages, noting their final determination is due by 1 July 2026 – copy attached here

SCC Planning Documents and Activity
- Draft Community Infrastructure Strategic Plan 2026-56 (CISP)
- The CISP is Council’s strategic plan for open space and community facilities and will guide planning and decision-making for pools; sports fields and courts; parks and playgrounds; community buildings; and cultural facilities over the next 30 years.
- Council provided an Information Evening in Huskisson last week to more fully explain their reasons and processes, asking that the community gives them as much feedback as possible before any final determinations are reached. More Information

- Shoalhaven Land Values Shift Under Post-COVID Conditions
- The value of residential land in the Shoalhaven has dropped on average by more than 15 per cent since July 2022, according to the latest figures issued by the NSW Government’s land valuer. The State Government has written to landowners in the Shoalhaven Local Government Area (LGA) advising of the changes to their land values based on market conditions at 1 July 2025. More Information

- SASSI is a not-for-profit service based in the Shoalhaven and Illawarra offering housing and support for women and their children who are impacted by homelessness or domestic violence. Operating across Dharawal and Yuin Countries, they are a community housing provider and deliver specialist support for women facing homelessness. SASSI 30 is a walk along the stunning Jervis Bay coastline, raising funds for domestic violence survivors in the Shoalhaven and women and children at SASSI’s crisis accommodation sites.
