Update from last meeting

  • Further to our last correspondence from the Land & Environment Court concerning the proposed redevelopment of 56-60 Hawke St, Huskisson there has been a call for any additional submissions prior 1 February 2025 and another onsite meeting set for 10am on 17 February 2025 before moving to Sydney for a final determination. A draft of our submission for 1 Feb is linked and any suggestions prior lodging mid January welcome. More information here.
  • We have written to SCC regarding the lack of sufficient parking for the recent Husky Triathlon and the apparent number of drivers penalised as a result. More information here

  • DA Modification for 44 Duncan Street, Huskisson regarding Fire Protection Infrastructure.   More information here
  • Local Character Planning Proposal (PP073)- Post-Exhibition and FinalisationShoalhaven Local Environmental Plan (LEP) 2014. At Council’s Ordinary Meeting held on Tuesday 26th November 2024 there was to be a report submitted. No further details have been received. More information here.
  • Update – SCC Financial Review Panel appointed. More information here.
  • Closing date for submissions to the Liquor & Gaming Application Notice Board  concerning a new Sports Bar Liquor Licence at 50 Owen Street is 6 December.
  • Council has now commenced dune care programs at many managed coastal foreshore areas. These programs are being undertaking under a new grant supported project from the NSW Government’s Coast and Estuaries Grant Program that will span over a three-year time frame toward mid to late 2027.
