- Steve Prothero from Eye on the Shoalhaven has sent a reminder there’s still time to share your thoughts on Council’s Draft Community Engagement Strategy and Framework which is open for feedback until 31 January 2025.For more information

SCC Planning documents and activity
- Invitation to Participate in Survey – Open Space & Community Facilities.
- Council’s last survey concluded in June 2024. They are now undertaking a second round of community consultation, which is looking at 25 sites across the Shoalhaven which are often used over the summer period and by tourists / school holiday makers. Some of the sample sites were included in the previous survey. The survey will unpack how facilities are currently used, as well as how the community and visitors would like to use them in the future. For more information

- Rob Horner at Shoalhaven Water Retires after 29 yearsShoalhaven Water Director, Rob Horner, has announced his retirement after a long and distinguished 29-year career with Council’s water utility.Mr Horner joined Shoalhaven Water as a civil engineer in 1996, rising through the ranks to become Director in 2019. During his five-year tenure as Director, Mr Horner led the organisation through the destructive Currowan bushfires and some of the worst flooding on the south coast in 30 years. For more information
