We had a full and engaged meeting on Monday (19th) and there are a couple of matters that the HWCV is inviting your input (see below). Additionally, at the meeting we collected suggestions around what matters the HWCV, or other parts of the community, might focus on in 2024 (some things are already being addressed elsewhere).
Our next meeting will be Monday 29th April (we meet bi-monthly and try to avoid public holidays etc).
Updates from last meeting
- HWCV received written answers from Phil Schafer regarding our questions around sustainable tourism. There are a few matters we’d like to follow up on. Phil’s answers are here – reply to this email if you have comment or further questions for us to include.
- HWCV has received a letter from Peter Allison, John Levett, Alan Burrows calling for a public inquiry and aiming to give the new CEO all the assistance we can. The HWCV is currently preparing a response to this letter.
SCC and State Planning documents for comment
- Proposed changes to the NSW planning system to increase capacity for low and mid-rise housing in well-located areas near existing services and infrastructure. The changes are on exhibition for public comment until Friday 23 February 2024.

- TfNSW has a Bus Industry Taskforce which is currently collecting community feedback until 31 March – use this link to complete the survey or make a submission.
