Information about bird flu
As we live on the coast it is important that we all understand what is likely to happen when Avian flu arrives. To find out more about the Avian flu which is expected to arrive in Australia in the coming months check out these resources:

- Explore Wildlife Health Australia’s avian influenza page for a range of practical resources, including: factsheets, risk mitigation tools, communication guides, videos and other links.
- Visit Dr Michelle Wille’s avian influenza website to access a wealth of information, including: updates on avian influenza reports in Australia, global situation updates, official guidelines, response updates and all the latest science.
- Access Animal Health Australia’s free online course that covers emergency animal disease preparedness more generally.

Please be aware that the bush fire season has started, which means that you will need a fire permit to do you pile burn. You can apply for a permit (free) by going to this link.
