SCC news

Operational efficiencies are being found at Council’s Nowra and Ulladulla administration buildings where opening hours will be reduced for customers visiting or calling these offices.

The changes are part of the organisation’s review of services in response to the resolution of Council on 29 January 2024 to take action to improve its financial sustainability.

The operating hour adjustments will begin from today, Monday 30September and result in a reduction in operating costs of around $70,000 per annum.

The new hours are:

  • Nowra Administration Building:  open 9am– 4pm, Monday to Friday
  • Ulladulla Administration Building: open 10am –2pm, Monday to Friday
  • Calling to speak to a Customer Experience Officer is between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Changes to Council’s administration building hours follows a decision in July 2024 to reduce the operating hours of more than 20 facilities and services in the Shoalhaven.

Adjustments to the opening times of swimming pools, libraries, waste depots, customer service and visitor information centres have been implemented and will result in a reduction in operating costs of $500,000 per annum.

Changes are in place from Monday 30 September 2024.
