Matters Previously Mentioned

  • Department of Planning, Housing & Infrastructure Proposed ChangesWe received an email from Council notifying the HWCV and other community groups of the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure’s (DPHI) proposed amendment to their Community Participation Plan (CPP), which is currently out for public consultation. click for email
The amendment proposes to reduce the minimum public exhibition period for relevant residential State Significant Development (SSD) applications to 14 days. This update seeks to align the CPP with the NSW Government’s recent changes to the Environmental Planning and Assessment (EP&A) Act, which came into effect on 22 May 2025.
Our concerned response was sent on 10 July 2025 click for copy and several other local community groups have done likewise, notably Berry click here, and Tabourie Lake click here have shared theirs.
