SCC Planning documents and activity
- DA2025/1051 – 24 Bowen St, HuskissonApplication for the demolition of the existing house and shed and construction of a twelve (12) unit four (4) storey residential flat building with basement carpark.
Located directly opposite a recently listed heritage church site with culturally sensitive land attached, the proposed building will stand approx 13.85 metres above ground level, in a zone with an 11 metre height limit. To our knowledge no other building in Zone R3 has gone over the limit to this extent! It appears we are being asked to comment on more and more applications at the moment seeking to exceed building height limits, usually pushing for a fourth storey and some for a rooftop swimming pool. The effect on the surrounding properties is of great concern as is the precedent it creates.
The application is on notification until 7 April 2025 and submissions must be received by close of business on that date. Submissions maybe lodged online via the Council’s e-property platform. More Information - Ulladulla Wastewater Treatment PlantOpen Day Saturday 29 March 2025 – More Information
