Update since last meeting
- Area Manager Kevin Norwood contacted us and confirmed that there is no intention to clear vegetation to maximise the views in White Sands Park. At some stage a Master Plan for the park will be prepared and community will be consulted.
- The Voice wrote to Council again asking about the car parking plans for Huskisson and expressing frustration that we have been told that plans exist but that these have still not been released. Council responded that “Council continues to progress work to look at and integrate the numerous design concepts for the Huskisson CBD.” and that the plan (when it has been developed) “will be considered initially by the Council, followed by Council engaging in community-wide consultation”. Council letter.
- The Voice made a submission on the draft Marine Park Management Plan. The Voice submission is here.
- A Woollamia resident who wrote to Council regarding traffic issues in Woollamia received notification from Council that Transport for NSW has indicated they will be doing a review of the 80kmh speed zone in Woollamia. Well done!!
- The Voice has objected to a proposed increased height, and removal of 2 carpark spaces on 44 Duncan St (DS21/1491), and reiterated previous objections.
- Council has informed us that work on an additional picnic shelter on the Moona Moona Creek reserve will commence February/March 2022.
